Tonight I made a new recipe inspired by this one from skinnytaste. Have you ever perused the recipes on that site or made any? Let me know if you recommend any. I based my version of this recipe on the stovetop option. I’ve not yet gotten on the instapot bandwagon. Though a new air fryer arrived today I’m excited to try. 😉 This was really easy to make, healthy, flavorful and filling. SCORE!
*My version is paleo and gluten free. Brown rice or cauliflower rice could also be mixed in to bulk this up and add more carbs.
Ingredients:
1lb grass fed ground beef (from my monthly meat delivery from Walden Local Meat)
1 large yellow onion, diced
1/2 TBS minced garlic
1 TBS oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
8oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 cup beef broth
12oz shredded cabbage/bag of coleslaw
Directions:
- Place the beef in a large pot or saute pan and cook over medium heat breaking the meat up until browned. Add the onion, garlic, marjoram and black pepper and stir.
- Add the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, paprika and beef broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cabbage and cook for another 5-10 minutes until cabbage is tender and some of the broth has cooked off.
