I based my version of this recipe on the stovetop option. I’ve not yet gotten on the instapot bandwagon. Though a new air fryer arrived today I’m excited to try. 😉 This was really easy to make, healthy, flavorful and filling. SCORE!

other *My version is paleo and gluten free. Brown rice or cauliflower rice could also be mixed in to bulk this up and add more carbs.

Ingredients:
1lb grass fed ground beef (from my monthly meat delivery from Walden Local Meat)
1 large yellow onion, diced
1/2 TBS minced garlic
1 TBS oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
8oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 cup beef broth
12oz shredded cabbage/bag of coleslaw

Directions:

  1. Place the beef in a large pot or saute pan and cook over medium heat breaking the meat up until browned. Add the onion, garlic, marjoram and black pepper and stir.
  2. Add the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, paprika and beef broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the cabbage and cook for another 5-10 minutes until cabbage is tender and some of the broth has cooked off.

*My version yielded 5 servings = 316 calories, 36 grams of carbs, 9 grams of fat and 24 grams of protein.
